On 20 December, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) took a significant step towards enhancing academic collaboration by signing an academic cooperation memorandum with the School of Public Management at South China Agricultural University (SCAU). The event was attended by Professor Joshua MOK Ka-ho, Provost and Vice President (Academic and Research) cum Dean of the Graduate School of HSUHK, along with Mr. CHEN Le Tian, a Standing Committee Member of SCAU and Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office.
The memorandum outlines a shared commitment between the two institutions to optimise teaching, refine research, and strengthen exchanges between faculty and students. This partnership aims to facilitate various initiatives, including enhanced mutual visits, prioritised admissions, organised seminars, and the exchange of teaching staff. Through these collaborative efforts, both universities seek to deepen their cooperation and elevate educational and research standards, ultimately fostering high-quality development within their respective institutions.
During the signing ceremony, Professor Mok provided a brief overview of HSUHK's development history and its diverse academic disciplines. He emphasised the university's dedication to fostering exchanges with institutions across the Greater Bay Area. Professor Mok expressed hope that this partnership will pave the way for more profound exchanges and collaborations in talent development, academic discipline construction, and research innovation. He envisions that such efforts will enhance the quality of talent training, creating a mutually beneficial environment for both academic research and talent development.
