Postgraduate Summer School 2026:
In Collaboration with Hertford College, University of Oxford
Introduction
The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is delighted to partner with Hertford College, University of Oxford, to host the Postgraduate Summer School 2026, a flagship initiative of the Graduate School (GS).This immersive programme immerses outstanding students in the historic setting of Oxford, featuring sessions on management science (including decision analysis, leadership, and strategy), AI ethics, UK social issues, and cross-cultural communication. To ensure students can fully enjoy and benefit from this enriching learning experience, HSUHK will award scholarships to nominated students.
Programme Overview
Participants are required to complete both the Hong Kong Session and the UK Session. The Hong Kong Session at HSUHK (24–26 June 2026, Wed–Fri) will introduce students to local cultural activities, including selected cultural experiences in Hong Kong (details to be confirmed). At Hertford College (29 June – 5 July 2026, Mon–Sun), students will engage with faculty members and peers through research methodology workshops and a range of extracurricular activities designed to broaden their academic and social horizons. Across both sessions, students will be encouraged to share and reflect on their research projects and plans

- UK Session : 29 June 2026 – 5 July 2026 (Mon – Sun), excluding the flight time
- UK Session Location: Hertford College, University of Oxford, London, UK
- Eligibility: Outstanding postgraduate students from HSUHK who meet the CGPA of no less than 3.3, with nominations from TPG programme offices
Course Content Elements
- Core Academics: Research methodology workshops and project reflections; Decision Analysis and Leadership/Strategy.
- Technology & Ethics: AI and Ethics (fairness, bias, transparency), Cross-cultural Communication
- Cultural Sessions: Oxford History and UK Social Issues, Tours, art lectures, and London visit.
The Outstanding Scholarship
This scholarship is available by nomination from your School only. Qualified awardees will receive HK$21,000 to participate in this programme.
Eligibility Criteria:

- Merit-based: Currently enrolled full time TPg students in good academic standing, with a minimum CGPA of 3.3.
- English proficiency: Sufficient fluency for full participation in HK Session & UK Session activities (academic discussions, workshops, group work).
