Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice President (Academic & Research), was invited by Lingnan University (Hong Kong) to present a paper, "Nurturing Caring Leaders with Global Vision: The Hang Seng University Experience," under the theme of Promoting Education for Global Common Good to a group of young professionals joining the Greater Bay Area Professional Teacher Camp on 26 July, 2024. During the lecture, Professor Mok shared the importance of whole-person development for nurturing the youth to become caring leaders. Based on the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong's unique "Liberal and Professional Education Model," Professor Mok demonstrated how important international learning is for young professionals, helping them to care not only about domestic issues but also to think globally and act responsibly in addressing local and regional issues. Professor Mok also highlighted the importance of higher education in helping students to accept differences and embrace diversity in a rapidly changing world. The Training Camp attracted around 50 students and teachers from normal universities in the Greater Bay Area, and collaboration between The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong and the participating institutions was promoted through this event.
