On 7 April 2025, Professor Mok, the Provost and Vice President (Academic and Research) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong recently concluded a visit to Durham University, where productive meetings were held with Professor Martin Evans, Executive Dean in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health, and Professor Julie Rattray, Head of School in the School of Education. The discussions resulted in concrete plans for academic and research collaboration, particularly in the areas of higher education, intercultural studies, and international comparative education research.

Additionally, it was confirmed that delegates from Durham University will participate in the forthcoming Conference for Higher Education Research – Hong Kong 2025 on 29-30 April 2025 and will confer as the institutional members of the Asia-Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership (APHERP). This visit marks a significant step towards fostering global academic partnerships.
