Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier jointly released the 8th edition of the "World's Top 2% Scientists" list. Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), and Dean of the Graduate School at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), achieved remarkable recognition. With his outstanding contributions in the fields of political science and public administration, Professor Mok ranked first in academic influence among leading Chinese scholars in 2024, focusing on political science and public administration as secondary research fields. He also achieved the 33rd position globally in his discipline and was ranked 7,464th worldwide overall. This achievement not only highlights Professor Mo's academic leadership but also reflects HSUHK's growing research strength and international influence.
The "World's Top 2% Scientists" list, jointly launched by Stanford University and Elsevier, rigorously evaluates scientists based on multiple dimensions, including citation metrics and the H-index. The list identifies the most academically influential scientists worldwide.
