HSUHK Engages Future Talent at the 2025 Hong Kong Education Fair in Shenzhen

The Hong Kong Education Fair 2025, organised by Sing Tao News Corporation, successfully concluded on November 23 in Shenzhen. Representatives from 16 Hong Kong higher education institutions and over 50 international schools from the Greater Bay Area joined forces to provide comprehensive on-site consultation, attracting approximately 8,000 attendees. The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) played a prominent role in the expo, comprehensively demonstrating the distinctive educational features and academic strengths through keynote speeches and on-site consultations.

Fostering Interdisciplinary Talent with a Humanistic Touch

During the thematic seminars, Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) of HSUHK, delivered a keynote speech titled "Nurturing Interdisciplinary Talents with Humanistic Care: The HSUHK Experience." Professor Mok elaborated on the University’s unique positioning in higher education, emphasizing that to tackle future societal complexities, university education must extend beyond professional knowledge transfer to foster students’ humanistic qualities and interdisciplinary thinking. He further shared HSUHK’s commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience through its balanced emphasis on "Research with Impact, Impact with Care," collaborating with various sectors to advance educational development.

Unveiling a Dynamic Postgraduate Journey

In the Seminars at the parallel venues, Professor Choy Siu-kai, Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance, presented a dedicated talk entitled "Leading the Future, Beyond Imagination – Embark on a Rewarding Postgraduate Journey with HSUHK." Professor Choy systematically introduced HSUHK's education model, academic advantages, and its diverse range of master's and doctoral programmes, providing prospective students with detailed admission information and clear pathways for further studies in Hong Kong.

Active Engagement and Positive Feedback at Exhibition Booth

The HSUHK exhibition booth maintained a lively atmosphere throughout the event, drawing a continuous stream of visiting students and parents. They engaged in in-depth, one-on-one conversations with our staff regarding undergraduate and postgraduate programme structures, admission requirements, scholarships, and campus life. The booth served as a key hub for obtaining direct and authoritative information, reflecting the high recognition and strong interest from mainland Chinese students towards studying at HSUHK.

With the successful conclusion of the expo, HSUHK effectively showcased its unique educational appeal to outstanding students in the Greater Bay Area, providing robust support for their academic planning and personal aspirations to pursue higher education in Hong Kong.
