Graduate School of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong places strong emphasis on team cohesion, regularly organising gatherings and learning activities that enable colleagues to deepen their connections through both relaxed interactions and professional development, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Professional Learning: Non-Violent Communication Workshop
On 9 March 2026, the Graduate School and the School of Transdisciplinary Studies jointly organised a retreat team building activity themed "Fostering Connection and Collaboration". The "NVC Dialogue Guide to Becoming a 'Dream Team'" workshop, led by counsellor Mr. Lam Ka Chun, covered the four core elements of Non-Violent Communication—Observation, Feeling, Need, and Request—using interactive sessions.
Beyond Activities: Strengthening Bonds
Besides of professional learning activities, colleagues have also been strengthening connections through University’s festive celebrations. At the recent HSUHK Chinese New Year Staff Party, GS colleague Ken Zhou delivered a performance that received an enthusiastic response from everyone. The joyful atmosphere brought colleagues together, reflecting the team's cohesion and sense of belonging. Building unity and having fun together—because together, we can go further. As the saying goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Whether through shared learning or shared laughter, we are collectively building a stronger, more connected team.
