On 8 November, Graduate School (GS) at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) concluded its Postgraduate Students' Seminar Series 2024 with a compelling session led by Dr. Oladosu Ayomide Oluwaseyi on Effective Literature Review Strategies for Postgraduate Students. 28 postgraduate students and faculty members joined the seminar.
Dr. Oladosu's session provided a comprehensive guide to the literature review process, beginning with an introduction to its fundamental concept and significance. He explained various types of literature reviews, essential processes involved, and shared strategies to make the review process both efficient and impactful. Dr. Oladosu concluded with recommendations for further reading, offering resources for attendees to deepen their understanding.
Throughout the session, Dr. Oladosu encouraged questions and engaged in a lively Q&A discussion, addressing specific concerns from postgraduate students. Attendees appreciated Dr. Oladosu's clear, practical guidance on making the literature review process both efficient and thorough. Feedback collected from 19 participants showed that all attendees (100%) were highly satisfied with the seminar and found the content to be very useful.
The session concluded with a group photo, marking a memorable close to the Seminar Series. Spanning three weeks and engaging over 70 students and faculty members, the Postgraduate Students' Seminar Series has served as a vital platform for knowledge sharing, academic growth, and community building within the university.
