The School of Transdisciplinary Studies and the Graduate School at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), together with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Public Administration at Beihang University, has launched the inaugural Summer School for Postgraduate Students 2025 at HSUHK. This week-long programme brings together postgraduate students for a transformative exploration of public administration and sociopolitical innovation, combining academic training with immersive institutional experiences.

Eighteen postgraduate students will engage with critical themes such as social governance, policy innovation, and public management through lectures delivered by leading academics and policymakers, interactive workshops, and organised visits to key Hong Kong institutions. In the following days, students will conduct in-depth examinations of Hong Kong's housing management issues, explore anti-corruption strategies at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), analyse the historical development and operational mechanisms of the Legislative Council (LegCo), and study cultural policy case studies at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

As the programme unfolds, students will not only deepen their understanding of public administration and policy innovation but also gain first-hand insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within Hong Kong's dynamic environment. Through academic exchange and cultural immersion, we hope this Summer School will inspire participants to broaden their perspectives, build lasting connections, and apply their learning to real-world governance. We look forward to seeing all participating students embark on a meaningful and enjoyable journey as they explore public administration and experience the vibrant culture of Hong Kong.
