HSUHK recognised in ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects

HSUHK has been ranked in the prestigious 2025 ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in the field of Business Administration. This recognition places the University alongside Hong Kong’s leading public universities and marks it as the only self-financed institution in the city to be featured on the list.

Professor Sam Park Seung-ho, Dean of the School of Business noted “This achievement highlights the strength of our excellence in faculty research, teaching innovation, and impactful contributions to global scholarship and industry collaboration. It also affirms our growing reputation and reinforces our mission to position HSUHK as a leader in business education.”

ShanghaiRanking first introduced the world university rankings by academic subjects in 2009, which was officially renamed the ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) in 2017. GRAS is based on nine objective indicators grouped into five categories: World-Class Faculty, World-Class Research Output, High-Quality Research, Research Impact, and International Collaboration. Each year, GRAS presents around 20,000 subject units from approximately 2,000 universities across some 100 countries and regions.
