Researchers in policy science at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) are at the forefront of the Journal of Asian Public Policy (JAPP), an internationally refereed journal published by Routledge in London. Recently, the Journal of Asian Public Policy was ranked Top 8th globally in Area Studies by Observatory of International Research (OOIR.org), which evaluates internationally refereed journals. Additionally, the latest CiteScore published by Scopus.com places JAPP in the Q1 category for both Public Administration and Sociology and Political Science.
The Journal of Asian Public Policy was co-founded and is co-edited by Professor Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) at HSUHK, alongside Professor Ian Holliday from The University of Hong Kong, Professor Jingwei Alex He from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Amoah Padmore Adusei from Lingnan University. This international journal provides a robust platform for analysing policy studies in Asia using interdisciplinary approaches and comparative perspectives. Research findings and analyses published in JAPP are highly relevant to policymakers, public and social policy researchers, and students in policy science and public management.
About the Journal of Asian Public Policy
Since its official launch in 2008, JAPP has become one of the major public policy journals with a strong focus on issues related to development, policy and governance in Asia from comparative and international perspectives. JAPP, as one of the key venues for Area Studies, particularly welcomes contributions with strong comparative analysis relevant to current policy debates. Cross-regional studies of Asian interactions with other major global regions, and interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary research, are definitely welcome. Articles that do not have an explicit Asian focus will be considered if they have clear relevance to an Asian readership.
