In September to October, Graduate School was thrilled to collaborate with the Library to welcome new postgraduate students to our vibrant campus community through the Postgraduate Student Library Orientation Programme. A series of Information Skills Workshops were conducted, and their titles are as follows:
- Empowering Your Academic Journey Effective Use of Generative AI
- Understanding the Generative Frontier with Responsible Use of AI
- Introduction to Data Collection
- Using RefWorks to Manage Your References
- Citing Properly with APA
- Visualising Your Research Data
This engaging initiative was designed to introduce students to the extensive support services offered by the Library, ensuring they had the resources needed to thrive throughout their academic journey at HSUHK.
In addition to the workshops, the orientation featured guided tours of the library, allowing students to familiarise themselves with the facilities and resources available. Tours were held on 12 September and 16 September, providing an opportunity for participants to explore the library's offerings and learn how to navigate its extensive collections.
Graduate School aims to further support postgraduate students by organising more activities that enhance their research capabilities, promote academic integrity, and foster a sense of community. We are committed to providing workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities that address the specific needs of our students, ensuring they have the tools and support necessary to excel in their studies.
Thank you to everyone who participated in making the Postgraduate Student Library Orientation Programme a success! We look forward to seeing you at our future events aimed at enriching your educational journey at HSUHK.
