Power Up Internship Programme Launches: 300 Hong Kong Youth to Intern in Mainland China This Summer

Guided by the Youth Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR (The Liaison Office), funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and organised by the Dynamic Youth of Greater Bay Area and Dynamic Youth of Huizhou, the Power Up – Hong Kong Youth Mainland Internship Programme 2025 (動力啟航-2025青年內地實習計劃) will send over 300 university students from Hong Kong to intern in cities across Mainland China, including Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, and Huizhou.

The programme officially kicked off with a launch ceremony on 4 May 2025. Distinguished guests included Mr Wan Ning, Deputy Director of the Youth Work Department of The Liaison Office; Mr Chan Sui-wai, Eric, JP, Commissioner for Youth at the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau; Mr Tong Soen, Assistant Commissioner of Correctional Services Department (Rehabilitation Division); Professor Alexander Wai Ping-kong, JP, President of Hong Kong Baptist University; Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong; Professor Sally Chan, President of Tung Wah College; Mr George Lau, BBS, MH, JP, deputy to the National People's Congress; and representatives from various higher education institutions. Over 350 attendees also joined the event, including members of the Dynamic Youth of Greater Bay Area and Dynamic Youth of Huizhou, as well as the internship participants themselves.
