Professor Joshua Mok Joins Top Public Policy and Management Journals Editor Forum

Professor Mok Ka-ho, Joshua, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) and Dean of the Graduate School at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), was invited by the School of Government at Sun Yat-sen University to participate in the Editor in Chief Forum of Top Public Policy and Management Journals on 10 July 2025. During the event, Professor Mok shared the unique contributions of the Journal of Asian Public Policy (JAPP), which he leads together with his team from The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Lingnan University, and HSUHK.

In his presentation, Professor Mok highlighted the evolution of JAPP, which was launched in 2008 at The University of Bristol in the UK under his initiative. Since its inception, JAPP has grown into a prominent journal in the field of public policy and management. It is currently ranked 8^th globally in area studies and is rated as a Q1 journal in public administration and social sciences.

The Forum brought together editors from leading journals, including Public Administration Review, Journal of Public Policy, Public Policy and Administration, and Chinese Public Administration Review. It attracted a diverse audience of scholars, researchers, and postgraduate students specializing in public policy and management.

The Forum provided an excellent platform to elevate the research profile of HSUHK in the fields of policy science and public management, while fostering meaningful exchanges among experts and emerging academics in the discipline.
