Designed to empower postgraduate students, the seminar series provided expert guidance on essential research processes and offered insights into thriving in today’s dynamic academic and professional landscape under the mentorship of distinguished academics.
The first seminar, held on 28 October, focused on " Effective Literature Review Strategies for Postgraduate Students: Harnessing the Power of AI." Dr Ayomide Oluwaseyi Oladosu, Senior Research Associate of the School of Transdisciplinary Studies, shared practical approaches to leveraging AI tools for enhancing research efficiency and precision in literature reviews.
The second seminar on 30 October addressed "Research Methodology," led by Professor Choy Siu-kai, Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance. Professor Choy provided comprehensive guidance on diverse research methodologies, equipping participants with the tools needed to tackle complex research challenges.
The final session on 6 November explored "Thriving in an AI & Interdisciplinary Era: Research & Professional Pathways for Graduate Students," presented by Professor David Tse Kwai Che, Chair Professor of the Department of Marketing and Co-Director of the Chinese Family Succession Research Centre. Professor Tse discussed strategies for academic and professional success in an increasingly AI-driven and interdisciplinary environment.
The Graduate School will continue organizing an ongoing series of academic events in the future, further strengthening its support system for postgraduate education and research excellence.
