Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), has been invited to deliver a  presentation at the III International Conference on Educational Leadership: Forum on effective solutions to global challenges around the world, which is scheduled for 7 to 13 September 2026. As a prestigious international forum that brings together educational leaders and scholar to address pressing global challenges in education, the invitation reflects growing international recognition of HSUHK's contribution to value-based and liberal arts education.

Organised by the Scientific International Leaders for Educational Challenges (SILEC) network in collaboration with the University of Oviedo (Spain), the University of Alicante (Spain), and Universidade Aberta (Portugal), the conference serves as a global platform for thought leaders to exchange innovative, evidence-based strategies for addressing contemporary education challenges, including artificial intelligence, cultural diversity, educational inclusion, and the future development of higher education.

In his presentation, "Values Formation, Ethical Decision-Making, and Responsible Leadership through Liberal Arts Education", Professor Mok will explore how universities can nurture graduates equipped not only with professional knowledge and skills but also with ethical judgement, social responsibility, and leadership capabilities in an increasingly complex and technology-driven world. Drawing on HSUHK's educational philosophy and experience, the presentation will highlight how liberal arts education can contribute to character formation, responsible citizenship, and ethical leadership, while preparing students to navigate emerging societal and technological challenges.
